Breakout & Retest Intensive

Who it is for

Active or returning traders who already know candlestick basics and want a repeatable way to trade breakouts — especially those who enter too early on the first close beyond a level, or freeze when price returns to retest.

What you walk away with

A written breakout checklist, a retest classification sheet (shallow, deep, failed), annotated chart homework from your own watchlist, and a risk rule set that caps position size before the session ends. You do not receive trade tips, signals, or managed accounts.

What is included

• Four tutor-led sessions with live chart markup on ASX equities and major currency pairs
• Printed and digital worksheets for level marking, volume notes, and entry triggers
• Between-session homework reviewed in the following class
• One 30-minute follow-up call within two weeks of the final session
• Access to the curriculum path materials for the intensive modules

What is excluded

Broker setup, tax advice, automated strategy coding, and guarantees of trading profit. Personal portfolio management is not part of this workshop.

Provider & delivery

Sessions are led by the Insightlysys teaching desk from 88 Souttar Terrace, Hillarys, Western Australia, or by video for participants outside the northern suburbs. The same agenda applies either way.

Process

1. Enquiry & placement — You tell us markets you follow and how long you have marked charts. We confirm a cohort date.
2. Session 1 — Ranges & breaks — Identify consolidation, mark boundaries, distinguish noise pierces from structural breaks.
3. Session 2 — Confirmation — Volume, follow-through candles, and neighbouring structure that support a genuine breakout.
4. Session 3 — Retest types — Shallow retests, multi-touch retests, and failed retests that become fade setups.
5. Session 4 — Plan & size — Entry orders, invalidation, partial takes, and position size against a fixed risk percentage.
6. Follow-up — A short call to review two of your marked charts after class.

Duration & preparation

Three weeks, four evening or weekend blocks of 2.5 hours. Bring a laptop with charting access you already use, a notebook, and three symbols you watch regularly. Complete a short pre-read on range anatomy sent after registration.

Constraints

Cohorts cap at eight people. Places are held with a deposit (see rates and refund policy). The intensive assumes you can read OHLC or candlestick charts without a primer — if not, start with Market Structure Foundations.

Pricing basis

AUD $1,280 per person for the Hillarys cohort; video cohorts are priced the same. Corporate or duo bookings are quoted separately on the rates page.
